'Infinite One' Project

Infinite One by James Cannon, a series of seven plaster cast Wheku masks painted in chakra-inspired colours exploring transformation and personal growth.

Recently I've been learning how to turn my wooden carvings into plaster cast duplicates. This has given me the freedom to experiment with the same form in a variety of different colors.

Lately, I’ve been studying the chakras and find the concept fascinating. Even though chakra knowledge isn't Māori knowledge per se, exploring it has provided a meaningful space to reflect on personal growth and self-improvement from within.
